Step by Step

This simple tank dress is elevated by a step hem, and, for that reason, I had to get it!  I'm a sucker for unique hem lines.  I'm also on the hunt for more midi length tank dresses for the summer. They allow me to create cute and easy outfits when I'm on the go and  also pack easily for fun getaways. To add a little interest to the outfit, I paired the dress with leopard Steve Madden sandals. I always try to keep my looks clean with one main focal point - busy outfits drive me crazy - so I kept my other accessories minimal.  Hope you all enjoy! Get into the deets below.

Easy Breezy

When visiting my parents a few weekends ago, I threw on this breezy maxi for a cute and comfortable look. I hadn't packed many accessories on the trip, so though I would have liked a nice statement necklace with this, it was still perfect for traveling and a warm spring day in the country.  I may do another post with this dress with a few more accessories to show some versatility in styling. Basic jersey dresses like this are a staple for me in the spring and summer, and I can't wait to pullout the rest of mine for the warm weather.  Hope you enjoy!  (Classic mustang backdrop courtesy of my dad! He loves classic/vintage cars - disregard the mud, we have dirt roads around here).

Boyfriends and Blazers

Fell in love with this blazer I found at Macy's.  And the cherry on the top was the fact that I snagged a $130 blazer on clearance for... wait for it... $15!!! It doesn't get any better.  I decided to pair it with some low rise boyfriend jeans, simple black sandals, and a red lip.  All together it created an easy casual and chic weekend look.  Get into the details below. Hope everyone is enjoying the Holiday weekend!

It's A Cinch

Decided to take a few photos while visiting my parents.  The back drops were absolutely beautiful with perfect blue skies and country scenery.  For this outfit, I decided to pair this cute little dress I picked up from H&M with a pair of strappy sandals.  I love the details of both of these items. The wrap tie detail of the dress adds an interesting twist to a regular sheath dress and is really flattering as it cinches the waist and covers some of my trouble areas. Then, since I went simple with jewelry, I added a little statement with these sandals.  The gold detailing of these added just enough flair... didn't get a great close up shot of these in this shoot, but they'll definitely appear with other outfits. I completed my outfit with my favorite sunnies, go to watch, and a dainty bracelet.  Get into the deets below.  Happy Hump Day!

Showing My Stripes

I am finally getting around to posting this cutesy dress I wore to church on my birthday.  It's from the Eva Mendes Collection at New York and Company.  Although some of their items skew a bit older to me, I can always find some cute items here for a great deal (they always have some kind of sale or promotion).  I'm not much for prints and patterns, but I found the stripes in this dress to be pretty flattering and the material is super comfortable.  Paired it here with some single strap sandals, and I was ready to go.  For the office, I usually slip into a cute black pump and blazer with this dress, and I have a quick and easy outfit (that's still really cute).  See below for all the deets!
