Contrasts
I shot this look earlier in spring when the temps were still in that weird cool/warm phase. It was the perfect opportunity to pull out this camel blazer. I balanced the heaviness of the look with white distressed jeans and strappy camel heels. The camel and white combination just creates a crisp feel for me in outfits. I also loved the contrasts of the look - a little preppy, a little edgy, a little fall, and a little spring. Get into the details and thanks for stopping by! I've been a little busy on the day job lately but will ramp up the blog again soon!

Office Style: Staples
I'm back with another office style post! When you want to wear all black but keep it interesting, it's all about the accessories. Let's be real, sometimes you just don't feel like putting an outfit together, and you're doing well just to make it to work. What if I told you that you don't have to look like it though? The key to making outfit creation effortless is building a solid base wardrobe and then getting some versatile accessories. For this outfit, I paired black ankle pants with a black cami - about as simple as you can get, but they are good quality and fit well. Then I added an olive green jacket for contrast. The loose fit and waist tie give added chic details. And to kick it up another notch, I added these strappy pumps. These pumps were one of my best pickups from Nine West (if I haven't told you before, they make some of the most comfortable shoes for the office). They are jussst the right level of strappy for the workplace (there is a limit - cage sandals and shoes that tie around your leg my be just be too far). Get into the details below! How do you pull it together on those rough mornings?

Winter White
Even though virtually no one follows it, there still seems to be concern from some people around the whole no white after labor day "rule". Even my boyfriend recently asked the rationale behind that rule. I don't know who created it and made winter white (more of a cream color) the acceptable hue for the colder months, but again, I say wear what you want. In fashion there pretty much are no rules. You wear what makes you feel good... but there are some styling tips that can help you to pull it off better. For this outfit, I decided to pair white denim with an over-sized grey/taupe sweater and grey over the knee boots. I love balancing silhouettes of a look, pairing tight jeans with a looser top. Ultimately, I would have preferred non distressed jeans for this look, but the winter weight got the best of me and these were the only ones that fit :) There's something about white in the winter time that just feels so refreshing - this is my winter white. How do ya'll wear white in the winter?

Touch of Winter
I'm back! After being out of town for a few weekends, I finally had some time to get back to blogging. Unfortunately, I missed the heat wave that's been keeping Georgians confused for the past couple of weeks - so the warm weather outfits will have to wait. Fortunately, though, there will be plenty of time for that. Plus, temperatures dipping into the 30s gave me a reason to bring out this fabulous coat! I've been obsessed with this coat ever since I picked it up a few seasons ago and haven't gotten to bring it out much this winter with the volatile temps. Today it made it's victorious reemergence, if only for one day. The color alone is enough to keep it close to my heart. I live for anything in the wine/burgundy/oxblood family. I paired this gem with a sleeveless turtleneck dress, black booties, and an obi belt, creating the perfect winter date night look for me. What do you think? Thanks for stopping by! Now go out and slay this week (stylishly of course).

Office Style: Buttoned Up
I decided it was about that time to put up my first Office Style post of the year. I recently rediscovered this camel belted blazer and knew I had to put it to work. If you don't have camel/tan outerwear in your closet, I suggest you pick up a few during these winter sales. It's a classic color that instantly adds a little chicness to any outfit. I picked this jacket up a few seasons ago during a sale at The Limited. If you haven't heard, the Limited is closing all of their physical stores (planning to maintain some form of an online presence), so now is probably a good time to snag a few items for a steal.
Being a curvy girl, the belt was a lifesaver. I welcome items that give me some sort of structure and accentuate the waist. I used a white button down for my foundation and added navy ankle pants and camel pumps to complete my look. This all came together to create a quintessential work ensemble in a classic color palette. Wide collar details and ankle pants added a modern touch. Get into to the details below and have a stylish week ladies!
